Dr. Walter Goriwoda is a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Germany with many years of specialized postgraduate education and practice in Germany, Austria, South Africa, Switzerland, the UK and the US before moving to Dubai.
He received his medical degree (MD) from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany in 1999 and earned his conferral of doctorate (MD) from the University of Freiburg – Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany in 2005. He graduated in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Vienna, Austria and received his conferral of doctorate (DMD) from Medical University Vienna, Austria in 2005.
Dr. Walter has done a clinical fellowship in Aesthetic Facial Surgery and Functional Rhinoplasty in Sydney, South Africa and the USA. He also did a clinical fellowship at the Department of General Surgery at the University of Glasgow. He served as a special registrar in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Salzburg University and the University of Zurich between 2005 and 2007. He also worked as a consultant at the University Hospital of Cranio-Maxillo-facial and Oral Surgery in Innsbruck. He practices and has a license for general anaesthesia.
He is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
